V iolin teacher Enid Conaghan , mother of 2 sons Peter and David , is a graduate of UCD , Trinity College and the Liszt Academy Budapset. She started teaching violin at Glenone in September 2005.
Enid also teaches recorder , piano , Leaving certificate and Junior certificate music .She is an examiner in music for the Department of Education.
Enid explains " This is an innovative class approaching the children at their own level. We use a combination of the Suzuki and Kodaly concepts. Everything is taken in small steps with the main emphasis being on fun ! This makes the children feel they are making music.
Susie has invested in providing violins for each child. I admire the unique approach of Glenone to provide early music experience. A small amount of singing and music appreciation is also done each class. We love to perform for parents at our special concerts !".
